Citation reference issue from google doc to MS Word

When downloading a Google Doc as a .docx file, the cited items and the bibliography are not being recognized by the Zotero MS Word extension or plugin. The citations appear as plain text rather than active Zotero fields,

Just a query, For e.g. my reviewer use Endnote and I am using zotero then when he/she open the file the citation and referene link will be intact or do I have similar issue like google doc to MS word conversion?

If everything happens in Word that shouldn't be an issue. It's likely _possible_ to break Zotero citations with Endnote, but it would require the reviewer to actively use Endnote in the document (and even then, it's just a _might_ not _will_ break).

Another query, how can I cite like below?

1. Kozma and Stones (1983) demonstrated (Kozma & Stones, 1983)
2. According to Kozma et al. (2013) instead (Kozma et al., 2013)
