Automatically split tags on comma/semicolon?

When entering an article into Zotero, I use the article's keywords as tags, e.g.
KEY WORDS: laboratory work; assessment; practical-mode; laboratory learning environment;attutudes and interest
Currently, I have to add each keyword as a tag manually. It would really save me time when I could just paste all keywords as one tag, and then split this single tag into multiple tags using the semicolon.
