Where is the "Extras" in the Info panel (to put a note on a document for annotation later) Section

I am brand new to Zotero and I cannot find the right content panel that is supposed to contain an info section with a space titled "extra" where you can add notes on a document to later export as annotations. I have tried on the app as well as the desktop version. Aside from tags, I cannot see any way to stick a note on a whole document (vs inside within the doc/ child note). Any ideas? What am I missing here?

Any response is appreciated. I was hoping this would help me build for my thesis but thus far...

In my desktop version, on the right panel, under the Info (in French) tab, there is a Extra field.
But in the same panel, below, there is a note tab (0 note, when empty). You can add your linked notes here.

On my Fairphone, in the Zotero app, when I get information on a book, at the end of the page, I see an Attachment section with a "Add attachment" button for the same function.

I so appreciate your response. The issue I am having is the right panel does not show up for me at all on iPad. On the desktop it does, but there is no info tab. I am wondering if it is the way I imported the PDF (drag and drop vs doi identifier link). More investigation I guess. I was just hoping to store articles for citations.

PDFs need to be attached to metadata -- see https://www.zotero.org/support/adding_items_to_zotero#adding_pdfs_and_other_files for how to do this in various situations.
