I am developing an MCP-based application that relies heavily on the Zotero local API (http://127.0.0.1:23119/api). During intensive usage, I consistently encounter the following issues:
• The local API intermittently becomes unresponsive (requests timeout or hang indefinitely)
• Zotero GUI becomes sluggish or freezes
• The collections (left sidebar) fail to load or remain blank
• In some cases, Zotero does not recover until restart

This significantly impacts the stability of the application, as it depends on frequent local API calls.
