Real/true warning for those user/documents with no touch-points with MS Word
Here a user of Zotero 8 and LibreOffice Writer 25.2.7.latest
All templates .ott, documents .odt, master .odm were created from scratch, no import from MS Word documents. Is the warning the Zotero app prints on screen and presented on attached screenshot a valid warning also for user group meant here?

Zotero app code analysis and analysis of LO Writer Zotero extension source code performed by KI-powered tools didn't reveal any mechanism of distinction between .ott/.odm and .odt in therms of refernce fields handling. That is the reason why this question arose on my side.

Lack of support of sub-documents is no problem I think so cause only master-level view of subdocuments and documents themself are the levels where user interacts directly with Writer Zotero extension. Master-document view of sub-documents is the level where Zotero extension needs to update the numbering of all citations (IEEE style of citing sources). EDIT: My own observations so far reveal that Zotero extension appears to manage it very well.
In course of several tests only in one test Writer extension for Zotero app was not able to add bibliography to master document. In fair number of tests it worked well.
It is highly in-practical to not support master document. Master and sub-documents are the only reasonable means to structure lengthily write works and boost the document writer efficiency. Lengthy write works are not uncommon / not rare in Zotero use-cases. Lack of this support wonders me.
I have no problem with ReferenceMarks be currently not openable in .odm : ) That's nothing what I need, fortunately. EDIT: Quick test confirmed what you state at this point.
I conclude, I can truly ignore this warning as me did so far. True?
Thank you for input from you.
The fact that Zotero doesn't officially support Writer master and sub-documents - in my eyes - doesn't meet the needs of its user base. I suppose structuring the write works on lengthy (frequently complex) documents by the use of master and sub-documents has a very good chance to be a pattern occurring in user-base not rarely. Lengthily documents get created in user-base at a not significant rate.
Master and subs help to improve efficiency of write work.
I got a confirmation from chatGPT my view-point to be right.
