Zotero won't save PDFs in Chrome browser

Has anyone else been experiencing an issue with zotero not saving pdfs to the library? I remember it used to work fine but now it says it "can't read or change site's data". from the other discussions I've read, adobe seems to cause problems but I just deleted it recently and it still isn't working.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
