Rolling back to Zotero 6

I absolutely loathe the gui in Zotero 7 and 8, specifically the transparent folders. There's something about the transparency that that makes everything run together visually. Does anyone here have a Zotero 6 executable file and/or tarball, or provide guidance for how I can roll back to Zotero 6?
  • All old versions of Zotero are available via the same link structure, so e.g.
https://www.zotero.org/download/client/dl?channel=release&platform=win32&version=6.0.36 for the last version of Zotero 6 on W32-bit, but rolling back is absolutely not a viable solution.
Old versions of Zotero will become increasingly unusable. Among other things:
    - import will break (that's already the case in some instances)
    - browser connectors will break
    - word processor integration will break
    - security vulnerabilities will not be patched
    - sync will break
    - and obviously you won't get any support for any issues.

I don't think there are very many people with your UI preferences, otherwise I don't think it would be prohibitively difficult for a 3rd party dev to put together a plugin that changes icons and other UI behavior. That's your best bet. If you actually find versions 7/8 unusable, switching reference manager is honestly a better option than using Zotero 6.
