Upper part shows that cross-paragraph ordered lists cannot maintain continuous numbering. When creating subsections, this forces manual numbering or, as shown in the middle, compressing everything into a single paragraph.
Lower part shows that ordered and unordered lists cannot be mixed properly. Items 2 and 3 are actually meant to be unordered list items, yet they display numbers. Moreover, they clearly should not inherit the numbering from item 1.
