How to best merge group libraries?

What is the best approach to merge group libraries or to move all items of one group library into another one?

I have several group libraries, and some of the related projects have finished, so I would like to move the entire group library (= all items with related item IDs) into another permanent group library and delete the project's group library.

What is the best approach to do that? I am searching for a reliable and fast approach that also keeps existing links to Zotero references in documents and subfolders/collections intact.

    You can't merge (or generally move between) libraries while keeping existing links to Zotero references in documents. (It'd be nice if that were possible and I think it may well be in the future, but currently it's not).

    Beyond that, dragging collection by collection is almost certainly your best bet.
