Zotero crashes and freezes on Mac OS X Sequoia -current

I'm running Zotero 8.0.3 (64-bit) on Mac OS X Sequoia 15.7.4 (24G517) -current

I've been plagued with system-wide instability, crashes, and slow load for the past few days, all traceable to Zotero and probably at bottom because of the Better BibTex plugin. For example, Microsoft Word.app quarantines Zotero.dotm into Slow and Disabled Plugins.

I am unable to install zotero-better-bibtex-9.0.1.xpi from Plugins Manager as reported here:

Zotero's Plugins Manager reports that Better BibTex for Zotero 8.0.33 is the latest available update.

Frustratingly, I can't restart Zotero and enable debug logging to create a properly-formed zotero-better-bibtex support ticket because Zotero crashes and freezes, generating this Crash Report: https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues/3458#issuecomment-3999456197

Everything broke man, WTF. I've been sending these reports to Apple all week. I need this to work. I can't even right click anymore https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Errors/Unexpected_type I'm going to restore to an old backup I suppose, so disappointing

Pointless, there are so many other things that need to be logged but it crashes and requires force quit when I try to restart in debug and log mode.

FWIW you can start Zotero in troubleshooting mode using cmd+click and then disable the BBT
