Changing annotation color jumps to a previous annotation with that color

I've noticed this behavior for some time. When I change the color of an existing annotation in the annotations pane, the context jumps to an annotation higher up in the pane. The color does change on the target annotation, but you have to scroll back to it in order to find it.

My debug output is D1604474597. This is 8.0.3 on Ubuntu 24.04
