Annotations not listed under items

I can no longer see annotations listed under any items. I noticed this in the most recent beta but also see it after switching to the Windows 8.0.3 (64-bit) release.

I have disabled the two plugins I use, BetterBibTex and Zotero OCR, and restarted but the problem persists.

I can't see a settings option to enable or disable this, so hopefully I am not missing something simple that is user error.

Are the annotations completely deleted from your items, or do you mean that they are still there, but not visible in the items list?
If you make a new annotation in the Zotero PDF Reader, does it appear correctly?

I've narrowed this down and it isn't how I first described it, apologies. It occurs when viewing an item as a search result or when filtering by tag. In the full library view, the annotations are listed as expected.

Maybe this isn't new behaviour and is something I've only just noticed as that's how I've been working for a few days (and only thought to test if it was widespread by searching for things I knew I had annotated). So, if expected behaviour, this would instead be a feature request to allow viewing annotations listed under a search result or when viewing by tag.

It is due to this update:

Zotero 8.0.3 is out now with "Hide Non-Matching Annotations" as the default.

You can keep the non-matching annotations visible by switching back to the previous behaviour with View → Hide Non-Matching Annotations.
