Style Request: environment-and-history
Hello,
I would like to request a new style for our journal 'Environment and History'.
I am the publisher of this journal. We are a tiny, family-run niche scholarly press specialising in environmental perspectives in the social sciences and humanities.
Here are the details:
ISSN: 0967-3407
eISSN: 1752-7023
The journal's style guide is herę: https://www.whp-journals.co.uk/eh/StyleGuide
In-text citation is not applicable in this journal; citations are listed in bibliographic footnotes.
Bibliography examples:
J.L. Campbell and O.K. Pedersen, ‘The varieties of capitalism and hybrid success’, Comparative Political Studies 40 (3) (2007): 307–332. https://doi.org/10.1177/0010414006286542
I. Mares, ‘Firms and the welfare state: When, why, and how does social policy matter to employers?’, in P. A. Hall and D. Soskice (eds), Varieties of Capitalism. The Institutional Foundations of Comparative Advantage (New York: Oxford University Press, 2001), pp. 184–213.
Please note the title of the journal in the first example, and the title of the book in the second example, should be in italics. I can't see how to apply italics in this forum post.
Likewise, the volume number in the first example should be boldface.
Here are a few open access articles that will give more examples for reference:
https://www.liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/doi/epdf/10.3828/whpeh.63861480327369
https://www.liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/doi/epdf/10.3828/whpeh.63861480345886
https://www.liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/doi/epdf/10.3197/096734022X16552219786618
If any clarification is required about the style, I can advise.
I checked the style editor and could not find any others with more than a 15% match, which seemed not close. If there is a very similar style, I'd be happy to try adapting it myself, but I am not confident in my ability to create a whole new one from scratch.
We'd be really grateful or help in getting a .csl style set up for this journal! Thank you!
Best,
James Rice
