Style update request: Annals of Botany
Hello,
I would like to request an update to the Annals of Botany (online ISSN 1095-8290) reference style that is currently available (http://www.zotero.org/styles/annals-of-botany). I have noticed a number of inconsistencies with the specifications in the Author Guidelines: (https://academic.oup.com/aob/pages/General_Instructions#Citation formats).
I have attempted to do it myself but have not been successful!
These changes need to be made, if possible:
In-text citations:
· Comma needs to be added between Name/et al. and Date.
· For papers with the same first authorship and year, italicised letters should be added to distinguish between the papers. (Currently, the name of the second author is given to distinguish between them.)
Bibliography:
· Names, Date and journal volume number all need to be unbolded.
· For papers with seven or more authors, the first three authors should be given then et al. (italicised) then the last author. (Currently the first three authors are given but not the last author).
· Add DOI to the end of each reference in the following format: Popper ZA, Fry SC. 2003. Primary cell wall composition of bryophytes and charophytes. Annals of Botany 91: 1–12. DOI: 10.1093/aob/mcg013
Here are the formats for the requested references:
In-text citation:
(Campbell and Pedersen, 2007)
(Mares, 2001)
