Upgrade Storage[Zotero 9.0 beta.1] MANY CitationKeys have disappeared
I am going to report a problem, which I already explained on GitHub (BBT), regarding the disappearance of many CitationKeys, but I do not know if it is on the part of BBT plugin or Zotero.
Until the weekend, 100% of the items in MyLibrary had their CitationKey (8.0.2-beta.5; BBT: 7.0.76; Windows 11). Everything was working fine.
Today, Monday morning, on my institutional PC, BBT updated to 8.0.11 (if I'm not mistaken), and Zotero to 9.0-beta.1. Apparently there was no problem, but when I started working, I noticed that the CitationKeys for almost the last 45 items (added from January 21st onwards) were empty, even though they appear in the Extra field. So I reported it to the developer. Later, I started investigating and saw that it wasn't just the latest items, but that, "randomly", I had more than 1,660 items with empty CitationKeys.
I didn't want to sync, to make sure I could check the situation on my home PC (without today's updates). It turns out that here I do have 100% of My Library items with their CitationKeys... that is, during today's updates, the CitationKeys for almost 30% of my items disappeared. Obviously, I haven't updated anything on my home PC, nor did I want to synchronize.

warguellesI don't quite understand what you mean. I never saw the window that other people have mentioned in other threads. During the update, there was nothing to indicate that the Citation Keys were being migrated.

dstillman Zotero TeamAnything about this would be BBT, not Zotero. The Citation Key field has no special significance in Zotero at this time, and we haven't added any additional fields since 7.0.32.
