Annotated PDF opening in Preview not in Zotero

I have two Macs on which I use Zotero and an iPad Pro. I annotated a PDF on the iPad and it saved to Zoteros server just fine. On one Mac I click on the pdf, it opens in an in-Zotero PDF reader, and I can see the annotations. On the other, I click on the PDF and it opens in Preview and I can't see any annotations. In the Zotero app, I can see the 78 annotations in a list in the pane on the right-hand side, but I can't see them on the pdf. I tried deleting and reinstalling Zotero, but the problem persists. How can I see the annotations in the PDF again?

    Just a setting in the General pane of the settings. You would've had to have changed it at some point before. Set it back to Zotero.
