Checking the indexing status of specific PDF files?

Hello,

As the "Index Statistics" in the setting show quite a substantial number of unindexed PDF files in my Zotero library (which were not indexed either by rebuilding the index), I would like to check which PDF files have not been indexed.

In a very old post here in this forum, I read:
"You can check the status of indexing for a given file in Zotero by examining its info pane, which will say Indexed: Yes|No|Partial."

Is this still possible in the current version of Zotero? I could not find this information in the info pane. Or is there any other way to find out which PDF files in my library were not indexed/could not be indexed?
  • Yes, the information is there. Maybe you are looking at the info pane of the parent item? The Indexed field is in the info pane of the attachment.
  • Is this still possible in the current version of Zotero?
Yes, you can see that when you click on any PDF attachement in the central pane.
  • Thanks. Yes, that was the problem. I did not look for it in the correct info pane.

When does Zotero usually index files? When the computer is idle or directly after importing a PDF file? I ask because I recently imported PDF files and they were not immediately indexed.
