Just updated to Zotero 8.0.2 and prior to update this issue was occurring as well. When using add attachment, finding a file to upload, and selecting it. The program freezes and nothing happens. No files have been able to be imported into Zotero.

This is a generic error, but this is likely caused by security software on your system interfering with Zotero's ability to access its data directory.

Any suggestions as to how this can be resolved. This didn't happen prior and I've had no known changes to security software on my device.

I'm afraid this is something you (or your IT department, if this is an institutional computer) will need to debug. This isn't an issue in Zotero itself.
