Style Request: Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology
Hello,
I would like to make a style request for the journal "Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology".
Link to the online style documentation: https://www.clinexprheumatol.org/guidelines-authors.asp
(Scroll down to section "References".)
Online/electronic ISSN: 1593-098X
Print ISSN: 0392-856X
Directly on the homepage of the journal (https://www.clinexprheumatol.org/), you can find the most recent and most viewed articles, many of which are free to view as indicated by the orange text "Free to view".
This page only shows the free-to-view articles: https://www.clinexprheumatol.org/articles-free.asp
This is the link to an arbitrarily selected free-to-view article: https://www.clinexprheumatol.org/abstract.asp?a=22044
Two citations for a journal article and a book chapter in the format of the requested style:
In-text citation:
(1)
(2)
(1, 2)
Quote from the "Guidelines for authors":
“References should be compiled numerically according to their order of citation in the text (identified by arabic numbers in parentheses)”
Bibliography:
Example for standard journal article:
CAMPBELL JL, PEDERSEN OK: The varieties of capitalism and hybrid success. Comp Political Stud 2007; 40(3): 307–332. https://doi.org/10.1177/0010414006286542
Example for book chapter:
MARES I (2001): Firms and the welfare state: When, why, and how does social policy matter to employers? In: HALL PA, SOSKICE D (Eds.), Varieties of capitalism. The institutional foundations of comparative advantage. New York, Oxford University Press: 184–213. https://doi.org/10.1093/0199247757.003.0005
Quote from the "Guidelines for authors":
"List all authors when 6 or less; when 7 or more list only the first three and et al."
(et al. in italics)
Formatting in italics (where required) are not visible here but can be seen in the online style documentation or in any of the free-to-view articles. The abbreviated journal titles are supposed to be italicized.
I checked the Zotero Style Repository and the Zotero forum for this style but could not find it.
I used the "CSL Search by Example" to find a style that comes closest to the requirements above.
The CSL style that LOOKS most similar to the above style (as far as I could see, I am not yet experienced with CSL) is the style from the journal "Risk Analysis":
https://editor.citationstyles.org/styleInfo/?styleId=http://www.zotero.org/styles/risk-analysis
Differences I could see in the citationstyles.org example output:
◾ "Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology" needs all uppercase letters for the last name of all authors (instead of capitalized case)
◾ for "Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology", the journal titles should be abbreviated in accordance with the List of Journals Indexed in Index Medicus
◾ for "Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology", the journal titles should be italicized
◾ for standard journal titles and book chapters, the DOI (in URL format) should be added to the end of the references
◾ the style for "Risk Analysis" does not seem to have the rule "List all authors when 6 or less; when 7 or more list only the first three and et al." but lists all authors
