Upgrade StorageRestart prompt pops up when taking notes (persists across v7.0.31/v7.0.32/v8.0)

I can open Zotero and read literatures without any issues, but a restart prompt immediately appears as soon as I try to take notes (either in the built-in note editor for a single reference or creating a standalone note).
I have attempted to fix this by upgrading/downgrading to different versions: 7.0.31, 7.0.32 and 8.0, yet the problem still persists with no improvement.
No other obvious errors or crash logs are found when the software is running normally for reading.
Could anyone offer some solutions or suggestions for troubleshooting? Thanks a lot!
