Storage issues and emptying trash

Hi

I see this is an ongoing issue for Zotero. I can't delete trash permanently when right clicking trash as there is not the option for this. I'm using the browser version on a Mac. I've tried cmd + a and nothing happens. I'm being asked to upgrade my storage but basically I have plenty of storage if I could empty trash. I'd like to set a preference for trash to empty immediately.

    I'm not sure what you think is an "ongoing issue". If you mean that you're using the web library, then 1) there's a button in the toolbar for emptying the trash and 2) you should use the desktop app available from the download page. All of the documentation you see on this site is going to be about the desktop app.

    (The desktop app lets you configure how many days to wait before deleting items permanently from the trash.)

    In the web library, you currently need to scroll down to the bottom, select all items with shift-click, and press "Delete Permanently" button in the toolbar to empty the trash. However, I’d recommend emptying the trash with a desktop client where possible, especially if there are many items in your trash. We will be improving this in the upcoming version of the web library.
