Zotero 8 doesn't let me add citation 656644056

Hi,
Zotero updated to version 8 today, and since then I’ve been having an issue when trying to cite in Word. When I click Add/Edit Citation, the citation dialog never opens—it just stays loading indefinitely. If I click anywhere in the Word window while it’s “loading,” the process stops, but the Zotero citation bar/dialog never appears and I can’t insert a citation.

I’ve already tried closing and reopening both Word and Zotero, but the problem persists. Is anyone else experiencing this with Zotero 8, or does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks.

Zotero wasn't able to update the plugin, possibly due to security software on your system. If you haven't fixed that yet, see https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#error_or_non-responsive_plugin_buttons

If you've followed those steps, confirmed that Zotero disappeared from Word after deleting Zotero.dotm, and then reinstalled the plugin, and you're still having trouble, provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through reproducing the problem, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option.

I had the same problem. Closing Word and reinstalling the Zotero Word Processor plugin fixed it.
