Potential integration with Cadmus
Hi there,
My institution has started to trial Cadmus and if successful, may roll it out for all assessments, including essays.
More information about Cadmus can be found at https://cadmus.io/ but it is essentially a student assessment environment, where students write their assessments and the editing history of the assessment is recorded, partly to uphold academic integrity.
I am thinking about the impact on how we support students that use Zotero, who may now be asked not to write assessments in Word, but to use Cadmus instead.
One option is that students write the essay in Cadmus and manually type citations out (or SHIFT + drag and drop), but they can paste the bibliography from Zotero.
Another is that they write the essay in Cadmus, copy and paste into Word and then do the Zotero parts, and then copy and paste it back to Cadmus (which seems unnecessarily complex).
I wondered whether there are plans for Zotero to work with Cadmus to produce an integration, similar to how it worked for Google Docs. The Cadmus environment is essentially a Word processing software. I've no idea how difficult this might be and Cadmus might not be used on a large scale yet globally (bigger in Australia perhaps than UK and US).
Thanks!
