Problem with transferring Zotero from Google Docs to Word

I tried to integrate several different Word docs (which were originally tabs in a Google doc), but the links are broken. I followed the instructions for moving between word processors, but it doesn't seem to be working. It seems like even in the original Google document, the links are broken. How can I restore these links? And how can I integrate these separate files into one large document that Zotero will still be able to work with?

Word documents can be just copy pasted together. BUT citations will of course only be live if they're live in the inidividual documents. If you're saying the GDocs are already broken, then you need to figure why and what happened and maybe go back to a backup of the file.
