Help troubleshoot - now can't import RIS files

Hello,

Any ideas of what to try - I can no longer import RIS files (either by double-clicking or by File, Import). I am getting the error that the file format is not supported. The RIS file will import into EndNote just fine. I've opened the RIS file in Notepad and it looks correct.

Any other settings to look at? Maybe I should just reinstall Zotero? Thanks for any ideas.

  • 1) Provide a Debug ID for an attempt that fails.

    2) Reset your translators from the Advanced → Files and Folders section of the Zotero settings, which will probably fix it.
  • Thank you so much! Debug ID is D1518880782. I have reset the translators (and then closed and re-opened Zotero) but no luck.
  • Start by updating to Zotero 7 from the download page. Zotero 6 isn't supported anymore.
  • Oh my, where is the emoji for "my bad!" I use two computers and had never updated Zotero on this one. How did I not notice! Thank you for your patience. (And, thank you for the January updates - woo hoo! Good stuff with the fields.)
