Zotero Won't Save Anything After Changing Settings

I have been trying to change the settings of Zotero so that it does not automatically download PDFs. I thought I found the option to do so and I did the following: Edit>Settings>General>File Handling and then I unchecked the box "Automatically attach associated PDFs and other files when saving items." I also did not like that it took screenshots everytime I created an item from a webpage I turned off that check box as well (image included). I tried to save a bib after changing these settings and it still saved the PDF. I closed the Zotero, opened Zotero again, and then tried to save the same bib and now it won't save bibs at all. I even rechecked the boxes and it is still not working.
