Regarding changing citation order

Hi, Can someone help with this please - My citation order number is suddenly changing, for eg., it was in 43 when I used lastly in a word document, and following it in the next one suddenly order has changed to 36 when I try to cite the next one. Can someone help with this please?

This is most likely the correct behaviour according to the citation style that you use. Especially if you are citing an item that you have already cited in the document before.
