Upgrade StoragePerformance Issue: Zotero freezes when editing or navigating items with large (>1GB) PDF attachments
Description: I am experiencing severe performance issues (freezing and lag) when interacting with items that have very large attachments.
Steps to Reproduce:
Have approximately 15 "book section" items in the library with one PDF attachment of roughly 1GB to each "book section" item.
Attempt to edit metadata fields for these items or navigate between them in the library view or to different folders.
Actual Behavior: The application freezes and becomes unresponsive during these actions.
Additional Context: I confirmed this is related to the file size because once I removed the 1GB PDF attachments, Zotero became snappy and responsive again.

dstillmanI would assume it’s the PDF preview. Does the problem go away if you collapse the Attachments section or right click the header and disable the attachment preview?
