JAMDA referencing style - issue with listing author names correctly

Hello Zotero users. I’m generating a reference list for a JAMDA article. I’ve selected the JAMDA style - however, the bibliography is not consistently listing the references correctly.

The style is to list (Last Name, Initials), if up to four authors.
If more than four authors, then it should be (Last Name, Initials) for the first three authors and et al.

I’m puzzled as to why some of the references with >four authors are listed correctly (first three et al), and others list >4 authors. I’ve checked my Zotero library and all references seem to be entered in the same way in the library.

Any suggestions please?
  • The JAMDA style is a dependent style of AMA. It just links to that and uses that.
AMA has it set that it shortens it to "3 Authors et al." when there is more than 6 authors.
