Journal of Historical Geography style incorrect
The style format for the Journal of Historical Geography is substantially incorrect.
The largest issue is that the journal uses a standard footnoting system. For the style, see https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/journal-of-historical-geography/publish/guide-for-authors (scroll down to “references”), but to see the footnotes see sample OA article (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0305748825001276)
But, when I apply the Zotero style for the journal, it creates a numbered bibliography and each reference to a source is referenced with that number from the bibliography, e.g. [7]. There are no specific page numbers for any citation as it is one bibliographic reference per source rather than individual footnotes, and if several sources are cited after one sentence, it shows up e.g. as [6, 20, 24], instead of the next sequential footnote number with the sources listed in the footnote. For illustration see: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=journal of historical geography
There are also formatting issues with the actual references, which I’ve tried to show below, but I could manually correct for that. I imagine fixing those would mean a substantial re-write of the code, but I’m hoping that a tweak would produce footnotes as in many other citations systems (e.g. the Chicago 18th edition notes and bibliography style), where each reference to a source has a separate footnote, enabling an author to indicate specific pages referenced and make any necessary comments.
As things stand, I will probably use Chicago style and manually fix each entry, but if people have any advice or help (e.g. they know of a closer style match) or could magically fix this, I would be most grateful!
EXAMPLES

CORRECT (As a standard footnote at the bottom of the page)

Subsequent:

A new, independent and customised style can of course be created, but that will take somebody willing to make it.
Manual alterations it is!
