Android app sync error

The Android app sync does not complete. I have a library with just over 6,000 items. After a certain point (around 3,300 items synchronized, first synchronization), the app requires the sync to be forced, and then only advances in small groups of approximately 30 items. Each time it freezes, this error window appears:

The desktop version I have is 8.0-beta.21. Do I need to revert to version 7, or is there a workaround for this error?
