Microsoft word crashes

The last couple of days, when I want to add a citation into Microsoft Word, Word crashes and doesn't have the last changed saved. I've tried all the suggestions in the help-center, nothing works. I've noticed that I have a specific book listed in zotero in two different folders and I deleted in one folder to only have it listed once. After that, it worked for the moment, but today Word crashes again when I want to cite. What do I do?

Crashes as in closes completely? What exact Word version?

yes, it closes completely without saving changes (Office 16, I'm using a microsoft key provided by my university)
