Delete a citation

I'm using Zotero with LibreOffice Writer and having issues trying to delete citations or moving text which contains citations. When I refresh, I get the attached warning. How can I avoid this?

How are you moving these citations? Create a screen recording.

I don't know how to do that. For now, let's just deal with deletions. If I add a citation and end up with a superscript number at the insertion point and a corresponding reference in the bibliography, and then delete the superscript number, I get the warning I attached when I try to refresh.

It sounds like it just doesn't get fully deleted. Selecting the space after the number together with the superscript number and then deleting would likely work.

Thank you adamsmith. That appears to work. And moving text with a citation (and reordering the numbers) seems to work if I cut and paste rather than selecting and dragging and dropping.
