zotero has stopped downloading PDFs

Hi, I have been using Zotero and the connector in Edge and firefox to download PDFs and citations mostly from Jstor, but also from other sites. Just in the last week, it has stopped downloading the PDF, and I only get a snapshot. I have it set so that it can read and change web pages as suggested.
Can anyone help me with this, please? I have tried a few things but I'm getting nowhere

Just to confirm, is Settings > General > File Handling > Automatically attach associated PDFs selected?

Thats It !!!!! Thanks so much poettli. That was the missing setting. No idea how that changed, but it seems to be working again. Thank you sooo much.
