Files lost from Bin after installing Zotero on a new computer

Hello,

I have recently lost a lot of items from Bin (they ended up there accidentally and I was going to restore them) after installing Zotero on a new computer. Pretty much everything from Bin is gone, and the only recent backup I did seems to be missing the sqlite file. Is there any hope those items can be restored? Thanks in advance.

So you moved items to the trash by mistake on another computer, and then you installed Zotero on another computer before restoring them?

When did you move them to the trash?

I'm not sure we've ever tested exactly that, but by default, Zotero empties items from the trash 30 days after you add them. The date of deletion isn't synced, so on a new computer, items in the trash should be set as having been moved there when you first sync on that computer, meaning they shouldn't be automatically removed for 30 days. If you've changed that setting, they could be removed sooner.

What files do you have in your backup?

You are right, it might be that I did not restore them quickly enough and they were automatically deleted. I have storage files in the backup, which means I could restore the items by adding them one by one but wish there was a simple or faster way since I now have to go through around 1800 files to look for the ones that got deleted.
