Style Error: Estuaries and Coasts

edited 7 days ago
This style was updated fairly recently on Zotero (5/18/2025), but it is very different from the format currently required by the journal. I'm not comfortable trying to update the style myself, so I would appreciate it if someone else could update it. Below is the link to the submission guidelines for the journal, which shows how the in text citations and references list should be formatted. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • The style was last updated in 2021. The date you see was from a minor change to its metadata that has nothing to do with the style itself.

Given they mention APA a whole bunch throughout the guidelines, can you check that matches? Then we can just create a dependent style.
  • It does look like Estuaries and Coasts is currently using APA 7th Edition. I don't know why the journal doesn't just specifically say to use that style. The only place I saw APA mentioned on their instructions to authors webpage was in reference to how many authors to include in the reference list entry. So maybe it makes sense to just create a dependent style for Estuaries and Coasts based on APA 7th Edition.
  • It looks like the style has been updated in the style repository. Thanks!
