10% more storage filled even though I just deleted files

I've just puchased 2GB and it said, I had filled 15.3% of it. Afterwards, I deleted big files (and cleared the bin!). I expected the storage to be less than 15% (considering I just deleted 100MB) but instead it now says, I have used 25% of storage!!! Where do the additional 10% come from? I have not downloaded any new documents?
Thanks for your help!

(You just upgraded your storage, so the relevant limit was the 300 MB you were at before.)
  • That's a good point, I understand that. However, for the first hour after upgrading I had 15.3% filled and it did synchronize during that time. Only after(!) I deleted documents, the storage space seemed to fill up to 25% - that's what I do not understand? It just doesn't make sense.
Thanks for the quick reply though!
  • When Zotero hits a quota error, it stops trying to upload files on every auto-sync, which would be inefficient. It will always try to upload files again if you click the Sync button or if you restart Zotero. That's likely what you saw here.
