Generating Hyperlinks in Zotero Bibliographies

Zotero generates the links in the bibliography as plain text rather than as hyperlinks, so in the Word document they need to be updated manually.
Is there a way to have Zotero generate the links as hyperlinks?

Making all URLs in a document into live hyperlinks is a function of your word processor, not Zotero. If you want that, it's done as the last step, after unlinking live Zotero citations (obviously you should keep a copy that still has the live citations). In MS Word, creating the live URL hyperlinks is done via Auto Format (you can add that to the Quick Access Toolbar).

There is a plugin for that which was released recently to make this easy: https://citationstyler.com/en/knowledge/link-zotero-citations-to-bibliography-in-word/
  • Thank you both for your response.
Regarding the plugin, as I understand it, it allows creating links between the citations inserted in the Word document and the list of sources.
My problem is the links in the bibliography section of the document — they are not hyperlinked, and they need to be activated manually or automatically, as user tim820 suggested.
  • See the button "Link bibliography URLs".
  • Where exactly is this button located?
  • See the link I shared?
    See the first screenshot.
  • I see it now. Excellent. I’ll try to download the plugin.

I’ve only just had a chance to look into the issue of adding the plugin.
However, instead of the plugin you recommended, a different plugin with the same functionality was installed, called ZoteroCiteLinker. This is the link: https://github.com/sbaydin/ZoteroCiteLinker

It works very well and adds a hyperlink to all the links in the bibliography. There is just one issue: in the first reference that appears in the bibliography, the hyperlink is applied to the article title instead of the URL. I tried this several times with different sources, and it happened consistently.

    Has anyone else encountered this?
