Zotero Add-in Missing in Word 365 on macOS – Install Fails

Hello,

I’m trying to use Zotero with Microsoft Word 365 on my MacBook Pro (latest macOS version). Zotero is installed, but the Word plugin does not appear in Word.

When I go to Zotero → Preferences → Cite → Microsoft Word Add-in → Install, nothing happens.

Following an online guide, I also navigated to:
Finder → Go → Users → [my name] → Library → Application Support → Zotero
and created a folder called “Word for Mac Integration” (which did not exist before). However, the plugin installation still does not work.

Has anyone experienced this issue or can provide guidance on how to get the Zotero plugin working in Word on a Mac?

There's never been a folder called that. Delete that, and please don't follow AI instructions for Zotero, which often include hallucinations. Use our official documentation or ask here for help.
