Problem connecting it to google docs

Each time I press the 'Z' on my google docs, it tells me :

Is Zotero Running?
The Zotero Connector was unable to communicate with the Zotero desktop application. Zotero must be open to use web-based citing.

You can download Zotero or troubleshoot the connection if necessary.


And then it leads me to a text in which I have read but doesn't really give me an answer to fix this issue.

Could someone help me fix this please ? Because I can't even link a footnote even after the information is on Zotero.

Assuming this also happens when you click the Save to Zotero button, you'll need to follow the steps on that page.
