[Feature request:] Allow horizontal scrolling in main window
It would be great if the developers would consider allowing horizontal scrolling in the Zotero Desktop main window for a future release. Especially when working on a laptop screen and having multiple columns shown, it would greatly enhance the user experience.
Use case:
I have the following columns always visible: Creator, Year, Title, Publication, Place, Publisher, Language, Date Added, Item Type, and Attachment.
But that means many columns are very narrow, and only the first few words are visible. That requires a lot of resizing when one wants to get a quick overview over the contents of a particular column. For instance, to check for consistency I may want to sort by Publisher so I can quickly see if any books from Cambridge are listed as CU Press instead of Cambridge University Press and then change them. Or sort by Publication to check if any Journals accidentally are listed with the abbreviation instead of the full title. Or sort for Journal Abbr to see if any journals are missing. Of course, I could construct searches for those things, but often it's much easier and quicker to just do it with a quick search in the main window.
