Display file extensions

I am storing various filetypes in Zotero: majority PDF, but also R-Code, screenshots, etc.
It would be very useful to have the filetype-extensions (.r / .jpg / .pdf) showing up for attachments in the column "Title".

Is there an option for this somewhere?

p.s. My column is wide enough to display the entire title of short filenames, that's not the issue

I just noticed: for some files, the file-extension is shown, for others it's not. Strange behaviour? (Zotero 7.0.30). Please see screenshot below: Kery et al has a .pdf in the filename, Krebs 1999 does not.

The attachment title and the filename are not the same in principle https://www.zotero.org/support/file_renaming#attachment_title_vs_filename

In some cases they can have the same value (as in your Kery et al. example) but quite often they will be different. So there's no out-of-the box option to do what you ask automatically, but you can add the extension to the attachment title if you want.

Thank you, problem solved!

For other people who weren't getting this concept: you can at leastbring back the file-extension manually by selecting the attachment and changing its title in the metadata-info below (e.g. in the first row with the bold title; see yellow area in screenshot).
