Upgrade StorageWarning: confusion between tag of citation main entry and tag of attached PDF
I personally find it confusing that you can a tag to a citation (e.g. "to read asap") but then that tag doesn't automatically transfer to its attached PDF file, although you can (and this is what's most confusing) add that tag manually to the PDF, if you want!

I can see good reasons why you would allow separate tagging of pdfs - they might be moved, there might be several pdfs attached to one entry etc.
Also, what should happen if you have a pdf without a parent and then attach it to a parent? Should tags automatically be merged? That seems at least questionable.
I agree there is a downside in the possible confusion, but I'd say that's a trade-off rather than a clear-cut way this should be.
After reading your take on this I think I agree with you. In my case, each entry has only one PDF attached, but I can see how other cases may be different.
