Zotero Title Capitalization Issue for Non-English Languages

Dear Zotero community,

I am encountering an issue with title capitalization that specifically affects citations in non-English languages.

When Zotero generates a footnote citation in Word, it automatically applies Title Case (capitalizing the first letter of almost every word) to the book or article title. This feature is generally appropriate for standard English citation styles.

However, many other languages—such as French, Italian, Spanish, and Turkish—follow different capitalization conventions, typically requiring only the first word and proper nouns to be capitalized (Sentence Case). By forcing Title Case, Zotero is generating incorrect bibliographic data for these non-English sources.

My question is: Is there a way to globally disable the automatic title capitalization (Title Case) function within Zotero?

Ideally, I would like Zotero to output the title in the footnote/bibliography exactly as it is recorded in the title field of my Zotero library item, preserving the original Sentence Case and punctuation.

Any guidance on how to adjust this setting or whether a specific CSL style modification is necessary would be greatly appreciated.
