[FEATURE REQUEST] Support for Pressure Sensitivity or Fountain Pen Tool

Hi! I’d like to request expanded Apple Pencil support in the Zotero iPad app, especially for users who rely heavily on handwriting for reading and annotating PDFs.

Right now, the inking tool is functional but quite limited compared to what the Apple Pencil can do. It would greatly improve the annotation experience if Zotero could add support for pressure sensitivity or at least provide a fountain pen tool (or something similar) that mimics line variation. Having dynamic stroke widths would significantly improve the feel, aesthetics, and overall experience of handwriting notes.

I also use a Samsung Tablet (S7FE), so I would really appreciate it if similar enhancements could be extended to Android tablets as well. While I’m at it, I’d also like to report that the highlighting experience on the S7FE is a bit inconsistent, as the highlight colors appear overly saturated at first and only desaturate to the correct color after closing and reopening the file. I’m not sure if other Android users encounter the same issue (apologies if this has already been reported; I didn’t have time to check). To be honest, this is one of the reasons why I ended up getting an iPad, just so I could have a better handwriting experience in Zotero.

I hope you can consider these feature requests. I truly appreciate how much Zotero has grown over the years and look forward to supporting its development (hopefully with improved pen support in the future).
