Mark as Read

Hello,
Is there a function on Zotero to enable you to 'mark as read' articles in your library?

Most people who need this do it with tags. By assigning a coloured tag, it appears next to the item title in the main library pane. After you have read a paper, you just drag the item from the main pane onto your tag at the top of the tags list in the left pane, which adds the tag (or use the right tags pane, or the tag's keyboard number shortcut).

Other people create a "to be read" collection into which new items are initially saved. And then remove them after they're read.
