Upgrade Storageandroid: keyboard vanishing while typing in a text annotation

First off: thanks for providing a (beta?) update on android - it's been a while and the UI changes are a really nice refinement and navigating library levels now animating to the correct direction is great to see.
While working on a file and doing text annotations I repeatedly observed that the keyboard vanished under my fingers while typing. I am unsure what is causing this or how I unintentionally may be triggering this. While doing more testing typing just worked fine for a while. Sorry I can't provide clear repro steps.
Another issue I am noticing is that while typing a text annotation previously typed content of the annotation being typed into into keeps briefly disappearing and only the latest word being typed is shown. Once typing stops the entire annotation returns. No information is lost, but UI wise something is off and typing like this is somewhat confusing.
A third UI issue encountered is that when viewing the document with top controls and bottom thumbnails hidden, it isn't easy to bring bach both controls. Tapping the screen triggers the thumbnails to show briefly and then animate out to the bottom. Double tapping zooms into the document and long pressing on a blank part of the document does nothing while long pressing on document content opens the menu to edit the selected element. So unsure how to bring back the top controls and bottom thumbs.
