What are you doing when this happens?

Do you have the latest version of Zotero from the download page?

Does it happen in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”)?

Then, I found a new download link on the forum, downloaded it, and opened Zotero again, which caused this situation.
