iPad app: “Invalid username” error — can’t log in even after password reset, reinstall, or beta vers

Hi Zotero team,
I’ve been unable to log into Zotero on iPad for months — it always says “invalid username,” even though I can log in fine on zotero.org and on my Mac desktop app.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
Confirmed correct username (not email)
Reset password and tested it on web successfully
Deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times
Cleared iPad cache and Safari website data
Logged out of all sessions under zotero.org/settings/security
Tried both the stable and TestFlight beta versions
Also tested with an app-specific password (I use 2FA)
Still get the same “invalid username” message.

Could you please manually reset or clear my iOS authentication tokens on the server side?
My Zotero username is:Jessica_AS

Thanks so much, I’ve seen others on the forum fix this only after you reset tokens, so I think it’s the same case.
  • You added a space before your username, which made it invalid. We'll fix that, but remove the space and you'll be able to sync. (You may need to wait a few minutes, since you were temporarily blocked due to all the incorrect login attempts.)
  • (It will now ignore spaces around the username or password.)
