Feature Request: Enhanced Collections View with RSS Feed and Saved Search Organization
I'd like to suggest significant improvements to the collections view that would greatly enhance Zotero's organizational capabilities.
1. RSS Feed Categorization
Currently, RSS feeds in Zotero lack proper grouping functionality. Adding the ability to organize feeds into topical collections would transform this from a limited feature into a powerful RSS management solution. This would allow users to fully replace dedicated RSS readers while maintaining better integration with their research workflow.
2. Saved Search Categorization
This is particularly crucial. The ability to organize saved searches into collections would create an automated classification system that breaks through current limitations. Newly added literature could be automatically sorted into dimensional categories based on addition date, item type, assigned tags, and other criteria. This represents a significant advancement in literature management.
3. Enhanced Search Capabilities
While we're discussing improvements, the current advanced search has constraints - it only supports pure "AND" or "OR" operations without mixed Boolean logic. Support for full Boolean operations would provide much more flexible and powerful searching.
